Foundation Programme:

Introduction to Marketing
Introduction to Legal Perspectives
Introduction to Physics

Duties and Responsibilities

To participate in the University’s teaching and research activities in the Foundation Programme, as follows:

To contribute to the teaching commitments of the Foundation Programme by carrying out:
- Teaching, examining, and administrative duties on the programme as required;
- Contribute to the curriculum development and the design of individual courses offered within the foundation programme;
To engage in scholarly activity in the Foundation Programme;
To contribute regularly to foundation programme’s workshops, field trips, project work, discussion groups and collaborative research groups;
To contribute to Foundation Programme’ s academic and pastoral care of its students and to the enhancement of their learning, personal development and achievement;
To develop and maintain links with relevant professional bodies and academic groupings;
To contribute to the development of the interface with external organisations;
Provide cover for colleagues on leave where necessary;
Undertake other duties as required.

Required Skills or Experience

Relevant MPhil. / MSc. in the roles advertised with references - a supporting statement that this is the case would suffice	Essential	CV/References
Have expert knowledge, teaching and applied research interests in lectureship roles advertised	Essential	CV/Supporting Statement/ Interview/Presentation
Experience of teaching in Higher Education (especially at the Foundation programme level would be advantageous)	Essential	CV/Supporting Statement/Interview/Presentation
Experience of module design, curriculum development and quality assurance, using pedagogical research to develop the learning experience	Desirable	CV/ Supporting Statement/Interview/Presentation
Experience or good understanding of the issues involved in transnational education	Desirable	Interview/ Supporting Statement/ Presentation
An emerging record of research experience in areas advertised, as evidenced by a record of publications comparative to the position and career history	Desirable	CV/ Interview
