Job Summary

The Assistant IT Coordinator is engaged to support the IT Manager in the execution of this duties. He is among other things to install, configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, computer networks, workstations, support server systems, supporting hardware/software, user accounts telephone systems and other technological systems. His/her goal will be to ensure that the hotel ICT infrastructure run smoothly and efficiency

 

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum 3 years of working experience in IT services
• or systems support role in hotels or analogous organisations is preferable
• Tertiary education in management information systems, Computer Science, information technology or related discipline
• Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) is a plus
• Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Ability to work with Microsoft SQL
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms

 

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communications skills, effectively communicate knowledge with variety of interdisciplinary teams and clients
• Demonstrated skills in support of applications, hardware, operating systems and telecommunications
• Ability to multi-task effectively while settling priorities and meeting deadlines
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving attitude
• Install and configure software and hardware
• Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies and instruct users in proper use and security of all systems
• Monitor system performance, and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshooting and resolve technical issues related to computer hardware/software/LAN and internet
• Provide end-user support for all applications
• Assist in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving audio visual equipment and connectivity issues
• Assist in maintaining a thorough inventory of technological devices/equipment and supplies
