Position Overview:

The Student Advising Manager - Africa will be responsible for counselling, advising, judge suitability of the candidate and provide accurate information regarding programs/ courses along with colleges/ universities. Additionally, resolving queries ofthe  target customer, bring more clients and increases referrals. Stay updated regarding current university programs/courses in order to add value to conversations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading: Manage and mentor a student advising team of 3-7 team members, providing structure and supervision for ongoing workstreams and client counselling projects.
  • Counselling: Expert counsellor and point of reference for all counselling issues with regards to study abroad opportunities, destinations, courses, universities, programme selection, and career planning.
  • Advising: Advise students on application procedures and ensure admission procedures are completed within deadlines.
  • Information Integrity: Curate and maintain accurate database and information regarding the programs, courses, colleges and universities in countries like USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Australia, UK, and Rest of Europe.
  • Suitability & Guidance: Be a referral judge of the suitability of candidates for the courses and universities of their choice and accordingly provide a guidance framework for all advisors.
  • Resolve Queries: Constantly stepping in to ensure that all the information sought precisely by the student and/or parent are provided in a timely manner.
  • Client Experience: Ensure parent/student leaves SEED engagements with a positive word of mouth which can bring more clients and increase referrals.
  • Soft Skills: Should have excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills and should be confident enough in speaking with students, parents, and partner universities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant Study Abroad industry experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Good customer service skills and a willingness to assist students and parents with any
  • queries.
  • Result-oriented and able to work under pressure to achieve targets.
  • Learn on their own initiative and research the best study options for students.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Good CRM management skills.
