The Business Development Associate will play a key role in supporting the growth and expansion of the company in the hospitality sector in Kumasi. This position involves identifying and engaging potential clients, assisting in the development of strategic partnerships, and contributing to the overall success of business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the hospitality industry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Market Research:

  • Identify new business opportunities through research, market analysis, and outreach to potential clients in the hospitality sector.
  • Maintain and update a list of prospects and conduct outreach via email, phone calls, and social media.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of targeted lead-generation campaigns including event organization.

Client Relationship Support:

  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring smooth communication throughout the sales cycle.
  • Support the Business Development team in preparing proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Handle inquiries and provide detailed information about services and offerings to potential clients.

Sales & Revenue Support:

  • Support the sales team in driving new business and revenue growth by identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Track and maintain records of leads, client interactions, and sales progress using CRM tools.
  • Assist in preparing sales reports, tracking business development goals, and ensuring follow-up on leads and opportunities.

Networking & Industry Awareness:

  • Attend hospitality industry events, trade shows, and conferences to support networking efforts and represent the company.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry news to stay up-to-date on developments in the hospitality sector.

Collaboration with Teams:

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on business development strategies and client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from business development to project implementation.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, and tracking progress on business initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing client meetings and maintaining a schedule for business development activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry or sales-related roles.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented and client-focused environment.
  • Ability to plan and organize sales-driven events
  • Experience with CRM software or sales tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position
  • Flexible work hours, including evenings or weekends for events or networking opportunities.
