Job Purpose

To serve as Associate Human Resource Administration Officer and conduct all HR related activities in BV Ghana. Is expected to support delivering professional, client-focused HR services, partnering with BU Managers to implement HR actions in compliance with Bureau Veritas policies and procedures in force.

Main Roles And Responsibilities

General

  • Provides advice and support to BU Managers and employees on human resources related matters.
  • Prepares reports and participates and/or leads special human resources project.
  • Keeps abreast of developments in various areas of human resources.

Recruitment

  • Identifies upcoming vacancies in coordination with BU Managers and conducts end-to-end recruitment process for Bureau Veritas Ghana,
  • Advertise vacant positions on appropriate job boards (Success Factors), social media, and other relevant platforms.
  • Coordinate and conduct interviews with BU Managers using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates within schedule, as per BV guidelines.
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
  • Provides advice on interpretation and application of policies, regulations and rules.
  • Administers and provides advice on salary and related benefits,

Administration of entitlements

  • Provides advice on interpretation and application of policies, regulations and rules.
  • Administers and provides advice on salary and related benefits and entitlements.
  • Determines and recommends benefits and entitlements for staff on the basis of contractual status.
  • Reviews policies and procedures and recommends changes as required.
  • Advises and counsels employees in respect of rights, responsibilities, Code of Ethics and difficulties associated with work and entitlements.

Employee development and career support

  • Identifies and analyzes employee development and career support needs and designs programmes to meet identified needs. Prepares monitoring reports on employee development and career support programmes.
  • Liaise with other managers to understand all necessary aspects of their learning and development needs, and to ensure they are fully informed of corporate learning and development objectives.
  • Designs, plans, monitors and provides induction orientation programme and briefing to new employees.
  • Ensure training activities meet and integrate with company strategies and policies.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s) in human resources, management, business administration, organizational development, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant and demonstrable experience in the capacity of HR manager
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a world class business company would be an advantage
  • Up to date knowledge of the country employment/Labor law.
  • Ability to process staff monthly payroll is a key requirement
  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP/ERP (e.g. Success Factors, Pay Space), and other financial planning software.
