A Multinational Financial Institution seeks the services of an IT & E-Business Support Coordinator for their Head Office in Accra.

General Description

The holder of the role is responsible for administering all databases, Networking and systems, including but not limited to, jBase databases, SQL databases and business applications, the holder will also set up and administer, configure backup solutions. In addition, serve as a technical expert in the area of system and Network administration for complex operating systems amongst others and drive the digital channel landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the host computers by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance and repair.
  • Ensure that records of system downtime and equipment inventory are properly maintained.
  • Apply revisions to host system firmware and software.
  • Works with vendors to assist support activities.
  • Recons on savings, investments and lending products to ensure accurate reporting on interest income and interest expense.
  • Perform troubleshooting as required. Work directly with IT personnel and business teams to resolve issues identified and escalated during daily operations and supervises operations staff including training and evaluation.
  • Manages the data center and computer host systems including hardware, software and equipment such as air-conditioning system, UPS (uninterrupted power system) and fire protection system.
  • Responsible for launching and enhancing Interactive Teller Machine, e-Wallet, internet and mobile banking platform and branchless banking.
  • Configure and support VLAN, VPN and Remote Access Technologies.
  • Enforce guidelines/principles/policies for the operation of the network services and provide secure, reliable, and efficient LAN/WLAN/WAN services.
  • Ensure efficient network management and monitoring using a range of network management suites.
  • Configuration and maintenance of CCTV infrastructure.
  • VOIP Technology setup and support (e.g. grand stream, 3cx, etc.)
  • Responsible for assessing emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms, and potential partnerships that allow us to deliver innovative experiences and that simplify customer experience.
  • Responsible for launching various projects in relation to e-Channels such as bill payment, debit and credit card process enhancements and various Call Centre enhancements among other major projects
  • Responsible for overseeing and managing Service Level Agreements (SLA) available for all mobile banking and internet banking platforms.
  • Responsible for any other duties that the Head of Operations or the IT Manager may assign from time to time
  • Responsible for evaluating member feedback/needs analysis in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure defined strategies deliver innovative, exceptional, and simplified member experiences.
  • Responsible for gathering, reporting, and presenting digital platform usage analysis, and market intelligence.
  • Responsible for driving a personal & relevant experience for customers across all digital channels which includes but not limited to Online applications, E Wallets, USSD , direct to customer APPs, and ATMs.
  •  Responsible for ensuring that the digital channel applications enhancements and
  • performance align with the Company’s strategic objectives and goals.

Required Skills or Experience

Educational Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in the area of Computer Information Systems, Management information Systems, Computer Science or Technical related field.
  • Digital Banking-related Certifications will be an added advantage.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • At least 3 years’ hands on experience in managing large databases, SQL server system administration, in complex systems design, programming and systems software and support.
  • Experience in jBase, SQL running on Linux and Windows platforms will be added advantage
  • Certification - SQL Server Administration
  • Deep understanding of the digital industry dynamic and competitive landscape.
  • Attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to research and apply problem solving skills.
  • Financial industry background experience in digital banking
  • Knowledge and experience in: Programming Languages and operating systems; Unix and Windows system administration, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring tools.
