Job Purpose:
The Principal serves as the Chief Educational Leader, responsible for driving academic excellence, school operations, and community engagement.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy:
- Provide strategic leadership and overall management of the institution, ensuring that the school’s vision and mission are effectively integrated into each section (preschool to secondary).
- Work closely with the three Vice Principals to ensure alignment in educational goals, curriculum standards, and operational efficiency across all sections.
- Collaborate indirectly with Academic Coordinators and teachers to promote innovative teaching methods and continuous improvement in academic outcomes.
- Develop and implement school wide policies and procedures, working in coordination with the Vice Principals to ensure consistency across the sections.

Curriculum Development and Academic Excellence
- Oversee the development, review, and continuous improvement of the curriculum across preschool, primary, secondary, and college levels, ensuring alignment with international standards as well as local education requirements where required..
- Collaborate with the Vice Principals (VP's)and Academic Coordinators to design and implement a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students at different stages of their education.
- Ensure that the curriculum is forward-thinking, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, while preparing students for higher education and the global job market.
- Conduct regular reviews of curriculum effectiveness, incorporating feedback from teachers, students, and parents to refine instructional practices.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers on curriculum delivery, assessment methods, and instructional strategies.
- Work with the Academic Coordinators to integrate new technologies and innovative teaching methodologies into the curriculum, ensuring students have access to 21st-century learning experiences.
- Ensure that curriculum development supports the school’s goals of inclusivity, differentiation, and personalized learning, catering to students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Guide Vice Principals( VP's) and Academic Coordinators in improving instructional practices and curriculum development.
- Monitor student outcomes and the effectiveness of academic programs, implementing improvements as needed.
Parent and Community Engagement
- Work closely with the Family Engagement Centre (FEC) to foster strong relationships between the school, parents, and the wider community.
- Coordinate with the FEC and to organize parent-teacher conferences, school events, and community outreach initiatives that encourage active parent involvement in school life.
- Collaborate with the FEC to ensure that parents are regularly informed about student progress, school activities, and important updates, fostering transparent and consistent communication.
- Address complex parent concerns and complaints in partnership with the VP’s and FEC, ensuring that issues are resolved effectively and in a timely manner.
- Engage the broader community by supporting the FEC in developing programs and initiatives that strengthen school-community ties and encourage collaboration with external organizations and local leaders.
Budgeting and Resource Management
- Collaborate with the finance department and VP's to manage budgets and resources effectively across all sections.
- Work with the VP’s to ensure the procurement and allocation of educational resources, ensuring each section is well-equipped.
- Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and efficient use of funds.
Student Welfare, Support and Development:
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of Alpha Beta Educations Centres instructional programs.
- Ensure that the curriculum addresses the diverse needs of all students.
- Oversee the implementation of student welfare and discipline policies, ensuring that they are applied consistently across the school.
- Actively address student issues, ensuring that concerns are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.
- Implement and oversee programs to support student development, including extracurricular activities and support services.
- Address student behavioural issues and implement disciplinary procedures in accordance with school policies.
- Ensure that all students have access to equitable educational opportunities and resources.
Staff Management and Development
- Liaise with the HR Department to recruit, hire, train, and evaluate staff as needed
- Work with the HR Department to provide ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and boosts staff morale.

Communication, Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with national and international educational standards as well as regulatory reporting requirements.
- Preparing detailed reports on school performance, resource allocation, and areas of improvement.
- Lead accreditation and compliance processes across the institution.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of leadership or managerial experience within an international educational school.
- Excellent leadership, management, communication, interpersonal and managerial skills.
- A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life.
- Proven success in leading diverse teams toward educational excellence.
