Night Market is building a comprehensive platform that empowers small and medium-sized food businesses to scale their operations, starting with food delivery.
Role Description
The Finance & Compliance Manager will be responsible for managing financial records, optimizing cash flow, ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and providing data-driven insights to support business growth. This role requires a detail-oriented and strategic thinker with experience in financial reporting, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and oversee bookkeeping.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Track revenue, expenses, and cash flow to optimize financial performance.
- Generate financial reports for internal decision-making and external stakeholders.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Ghanaian tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate tax filings, audits, and statutory financial reporting.
- Identify financial risks and implement internal controls to mitigate them.
- Work with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies when needed.
3. Data Analysis & Business Insights
- Use financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, project costing and profitability drivers.
- Support pricing strategies and investment decisions with financial modeling.
- Provide insights on operational efficiency and financial sustainability.
4. Fundraising & Investor Relations
- Support financial due diligence for potential investors and funding opportunities.
- Prepare financial models, business plans, and investor reports.
- Assist in grant applications or venture funding processes as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CIMA, or ICAG) is a strong advantage.
- 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or compliance, preferably in a startup or fast-growing company.
- Strong understanding of Ghanaian tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel.
- Experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
