A reputable and fast-growing Savings and Loans Company in Ghana invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the following position of Credit Risk Analyst.
Job Summary
The role reports to the Head of Risk and Compliance, to evaluate the client's credit payment history, assets, liabilities, and earnings history to determine their suitability for credit terms.
Responsibilities
- Provides analysis and evaluation to reduce credit risk for a company.
- Review and verification of data by the Credit Policy.
- Review and verification of documents against a checklist
- Ensuring that all credit requests have been through the quality control process.
- Monitoring interest rates and market conditions to identify potential problems before they arise
- Reviewing loan applications, credit reports, and other documentation to determine whether to approve or deny loans
- Evaluating potential risks and recommending solutions to increase profits while maintaining safety standards
- Educating clients on how to improve their credit score or manage their debt to avoid delinquency or default
- Any other assignment relevant to the role

Required Skills or Experience
Qualification Required & Experience
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing, accounting, banking, finance, or a similar field.
- A professional qualification would be an added advantage
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification and work experience in a financial institution
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent knowledge of loan application procedures and best lending practice
- Hardworking and goal-driven
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good planning, quantitative and analytical skills
- High integrity, confidentiality, firm and fair
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office.
- Proven knowledge of banking laws, rules and regulations
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Sound independent judgment
