The overall goal of the Quality Assurance Manager is to ensure that the end product meets the company and customer expectations, adhering to industry standards and regulations, thereby maintaining the company’s reputation for quality.
Reports: General Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct QA teams to ensure the manufacturing process of cement paper sacks, print packaging, and paper conversion meets quality standards.
- Design, implement, and maintain quality control systems for cement paper sacks production, print packaging production, and paper conversion.
- Supervise and ensure thorough inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
- Review product specifications and compliance documentation to verify conformance to customer requirements.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement within manufacturing processes. Lead initiatives to enhance quality standards, reduce defects, and streamline production workflows.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of testing, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Lead training sessions for the QA team and production staff on quality control procedures and best practices. Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.

- Work closely with production, sales, and procurement teams to address quality concerns.
- Conduct root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate defects and improve product consistency. Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Interpret and comply with quality assurance standards.
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system.
- Develop, recommend and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers.
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mentor a team of quality assurance professionals
Required Skills or Experience
Education
- A degree in a related field or Business Administration, Project Management.
- A master’s degree from a recognised university is an added advantage.
- A professional certificate or training in the related field is also required as an added advantage.
- Three (3) years and above experience is required.
Skills
- Technical knowledge of cement paper sack production processes, paper conversion techniques (i.e., paperboard manufacturing, exercise books production, corrugation, coating, and converting methods.), and print packaging technologies (i.e., flexographic, offset printing) or similar.
