The IT Manager will lead our ICT unit within the Technical Department. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage the entire ICT infrastructure, ensuring seamless and secure operations across all departments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- ICT Administration: Oversee the comprehensive management of TAGG's ICT systems, including hardware, software, and networks, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- System Security and Backups: Implement and manage robust security protocols to safeguard company data, and ensure regular backups are conducted to prevent data loss.
- Technical Support: Provide expert ICT support to all departments, addressing technical issues promptly and effectively to minimize downtime.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging ICT trends and technologies, providing strategic recommendations to enhance the company's ICT infrastructure and processes.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to understand their ICT needs and deliver tailored solutions that drive efficiency and productivity.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all ICT activities comply with TAGG's Quality Management System and Health, Safety, and Environment protocols.
- Attend all meetings and training programs organized by the department/ company.
- Submit a detailed report on every training course attended.
- Attend all company functions/programmes.
- Carry out other duties not explicitly specified, as may be required.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for the following process:
ICT Management
- Your responsibility is to follow the activities outlines in the process to ensure the process's quality objectives are achieved. Reference the ERP for information on the process and applicable documentation including standard operating procedures (SOPs), Forms, Guidelines and Checklists.
- You will also be responsible for QMS documentation for the ICT Unit
HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT DUTIES
You will be responsible for the following HSE duties:
- Assessing health, safety and environment risks on the job
- Providing safety education and training to the unit employees
- Recognizing hazards and prepare safety hazard avoidance planning; prevent situations from reaching the point to where an injury/illness occurs
- Conducting or assisting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of, adherence to and promotion of all TAGG’s OHS&E procedures and initiatives
- Knowledge on the safe use of all tools and equipment as applicable and ensuring same by all unit employees.
- Ensuring that all employees use the appropriate tools and equipment including PPEs, for the right tasks.
- Strong Knowledge of relevant HSE principles
- Ability to prepare and update HSE statistical tracking and trending data.
- Determine and communicate the OHS&E resource needs within your area of responsibility to the HODs.
- HSE Relevant training (Risk assessment and First aid)

Required Skills or Experience
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or computer science or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as Head of ICT
- Certifications: Relevant technical certifications are an added advantage.
KNOWLEDGE
- The ICT manager should have a good knowledge of how software and operating systems work as well as possess excellent knowledge in people management, project management and safety. S/he should have the desire to keep learning and updating his/her knowledge on latest ICT trends. S/he should have knowledge about the organization, its philosophy, industry, and customers, competitors, etc.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Team working ability
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must possess strong presentation skills and be able to communicate professionally in written responses.
- Sound judgment and good business sense
- Ability to align IT initiatives with organizational objectives, driving growth and innovation.
- Adept at making informed decisions swiftly, especially under pressure, to maintain operational continuity.
- Experience in leading teams through transitions, ensuring adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Attention to details
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- Walk, stand or sit for long
- Use arms and legs to control machines, equipment, or tools.
- Speaking clearly enough to be able to be understood by others
- Identifying and understanding the speech of another person
- Travelling for long hours
