Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Management: Supervise fleet usage, assign vehicles to drivers, and track vehicle performance.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Schedule routine maintenance and manage repairs to minimize downtime.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure fleet adherence to local regulations and safety standards.
- Cost Control: Monitor fuel consumption, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Driver Supervision: Coordinate and train drivers on safety and efficiency.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare regular fleet performance reports.
- Fleet Optimization: Recommend improvements for fleet efficiency and vehicle replacements.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors for services like insurance and maintenance.
- Technology Management: Utilize fleet management software to monitor vehicle performance.
Required Skills or Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years in fleet management or logistics, with supervisory experience.
Skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in fleet management software.
