Your main duties will be to assist with day-to-day trading activities and support more seasoned traders in optimising the desk's performance. Engage in market analysis, trade execution, and manage assigned portions of the trading book. Adhere to risk, compliance, and performance standards while aiming to contribute 20% to the desk's profit targets.

Are You Someone Who Can:

• Execute basic trades in assigned markets, following guidelines provided by senior traders.

• Monitor and analyse market trends, economic indicators, and geopolitical events affecting market movements.

• Assist in preparing daily market updates and summaries for internal and client distribution.

• Develop proficiency in using trading platforms and market analysis tools for accurate trade execution.

• Adhere to risk management protocols by following desk limits and promptly reporting any anomalies.

•  Support the team in pricing and valuing financial instruments under the guidance of senior traders.

• Assist in generating market insights and trade ideas through data analysis and market intelligence gathering.

• Contribute to maintaining a compliant trading environment by adhering to regulatory and compliance guidelines.

• Liaise with back-office and middle-office teams to ensure smooth trade settlements and operational efficiency.

• Track and report personal trading performance metrics as part of continuous professional development.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance desk performance and develop a high-performance culture.

• Proactively seek learning opportunities to enhance trading skills and market knowledge.

• Display initiative in contributing ideas and strategies for the trading desk’s benefit.

• Support team efforts to achieve group and organisational targets.

You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You Have

• A degree in Mathematics or a related field

• ACI Dealing Certificate

• Minimum of 3 years of Financial Markets experience, at least 2 years of which must have been in a similar role and working environment
