OBJECTIVE:
The Logistics Associate (onshore) will play a key role in supporting the logistics operations for the company, focusing on local sourcing and the efficient movement of goods and materials in-country. Key responsibilities include route optimization, carrier management, inland freight coordination, and tracking internal cargoes. This position will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of supplies while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procurement & Sourcing
- Coordinate with the Procurement team for goods and services, including local sourcing and supplier management.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment from local suppliers and manage transportation logistics.
- Maintain and develop relationships with local suppliers to secure favourable terms and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Logistics Management
- Oversee the onshore logistics operations for incoming shipments, ensuring all materials are handled and stored efficiently.
- Work with third-party logistics providers to organize shipping, tracking, and delivery of goods.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of shipments, including tracking documents, invoices, and customs paperwork.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with local shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate with the Inventory Management team on the monitoring of inventory levels, ensuring materials are ordered in a timely manner and in alignment with project schedules.
- Resolve any issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods or discrepancies.
Coordination & Reporting:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective procurement and logistics operations.
- Regularly report on logistics status, shipment tracking, and any delays or issues to senior management.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting for logistics activities, ensuring cost efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or Procurement is mandatory.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Multicultural experience is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum o4+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Proficiency with industry-specific software (e.g., SAP, Sage).
- Proven experience with international and/or local procurement and shipping.
- Knowledge of customs and import/export processes is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
COMPETENCIES:
