Position Overview
To manage and supervise work activities on the farm and ensure profitability. Will be responsible for planning projects and managing work on farms to ensure success and efficiency in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production plans for crops such as Pineapple, Avocado, Vanilla, Passion fruits etc.
- Prepare and monitor farm budgets, tracking expenses and income.
- Train and supervise farm workers ensuring safety and adherence to regulation.
- Monitor and inspire the team to achieve production goals.
- Maintain farm equipment and machinery in good working order.
- Ensure compliance with relevant agricultural regulations and food safety standards.
- Perform administrative tasks for the farms
- Direct and coordinate workers' activities such as planting, irrigation, Agricultural Inputs application, harvesting, etc.
- Planning and making harvesting decisions.
- Operate large farm types of equipment.
- Manage daily operations and long-term commercial farms.
- Manage farm workers efficiently.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the group chairman/Line manager.

Qualifications & Experiences
- At least a first degree in Agricultural Science/Management or related field. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- At least a minimum of five (5) years of remarkable work experience in farm management.
- Must have a strong administrative and managerial skills.
- Must have additional courses in business management or administration
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Must have IT skills
- Financial awareness to plan and keep to budgets.
- Strong knowledge of farming.
- Must be people-centred.
Behavioural attributes
- Must have good negotiation skills
- Bargaining skills
- Conflict management skills
- Must be convincing
- Must be a marketer
- Must be utilising
- Must be committed, diligent, physically strong and sound in mind.
