Job Description
- Manage and monitor the company’s accounting records, payables, receivables, general ledger, and other financial data
- Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Process and maintain invoices, bills, payments, and other transactions
- Review client accounts for accuracy and possible discrepancies and issues
- Accept and review credit and loan applications to determine if clients are eligible
- Communicate with clients and answer questions about financial products and services
- Manage account and relationship activities with new and existing clients
- Prepare and maintain digital and physical records of financial documents
- Identify and resolve account issues, queries, and irregularities
- Inspect financial documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Reconcile bank and credit statements regularly
- Analyze financial documentation to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement
- Provide support and guidance during financial audits and tax preparation
Skills and Qualifications
- HND or degree in Accounting
- Prior working experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role
- Exceptional communication and customer service
- Ability to work both as a part of a team and independently
- Strong analytical skills
- Problem-solving
- Time management and organization
