Job Description

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Monitor and analyze benchmark data, trend information, and economic projections to ensure the organization’s total remuneration and benefits strategy has a competitive and market position and is responsive to the business needs.
  • Build and test relevant performance and reward management model to ensure appropriate benchmarks ensuring application across the organization.
  • Responsible for monitoring Remuneration & Benefit Practices and Policies and ensure best is practice applied as per local legal conditions, and statutory & tax requirements.
  • Ensure consistency within the organization's remuneration strategy. Consult, develop, and review local Remuneration & Benefit practices in the organization.
  • Assistance with Remuneration practices, annual reward review; Short term incentives, and long-term incentive schemes.
  • Contributes to specific initiatives which are Reward & Recognition-led, within the overall local HR roadmap. Provides operational support in the execution of all elements of the operational people plan for Reward & Recognition, including provision of tools, processes, and best practice sharing.
  • Work with HRBP and various stakeholders to input the HR achieved measures into the Balance Score Card tool which will be aligned with the Corporate Objectives.
  • Job grading using an established Job Evaluation system.
  • Supervise in- and outbound assignment in cooperation with Global mobility team.
  • Provide international mobility support to global employees, in conjunction with “partner” OpCos and Global International Mobility team.
  • Provide expert advice, interpretation and guidance on policies, practices, and processes to effectively deliver and improve organization, team and individual effectiveness within Reward in general.
  • Is responsible for service delivery across the areas of responsibility to quality, timing, and cost targets Provide training and support to new team members

Core Competencies, Knowledge, And Experience

  • 3 - 5 plus years of sound experience in compensation management and/or data analysis.
  • Good working knowledge of employee tax and legal compliance requirements of reward.
  • Stays abreast of current trends related to the Rewards & Benefits products and services and anticipates future trends likely to have an impact on the business.
  • Experience in the completion and analysis of remuneration surveys.
  • Experience in using HR databases and other IT systems.
  • Experience in creating and implementing Reward Policies and managing the changes.
  • Experience in rewards and benefits would be an added advantage.
  • Experience in international mobility/expatriate management would be an added advantage.
  • Advanced analytical systems skills, excel, MS Project – advantageous
  • Possess strong communication skills both verbal and written adaptable to all levels of management.
  • Strong numerical and advanced analytical and Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior managers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Excellent relationship and project management skills.
  • Excellent influencing skills and credibility.
  • High integrity & confidentiality

Must-Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

  • A relevant first degree preferably in Social Sciences or Business Administration (HR option) from a recognized university (B.A./ B.Sc.)
  • CIPD/ CIHRM/ SPHRI/ SHRM is an added advantage
