Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our maintenance team in the plastic industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and repairing plastic processing equipment, pipes, and other machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Weld and repair plastic processing equipment, pipes, and other machinery using various welding techniques (e.g. hot gas, extrusion, and infrared).
- Troubleshoot welding problems and perform repairs as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting welding equipment.
- Ensure compliance with welding safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient operation of the facilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

Required Skills or Experience
- Diploma or Certificate in Welding or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Welder in the plastic industry or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and processes.
- Experience with welding plastic materials (e.g. HDPE, PVC, PP).
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Strong safety awareness and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with robotic welding or automated welding systems.
- Knowledge of plastic materials and their properties.
- Certification in welding safety and quality control.
