Groupe Sebastien is a management company for several brands comprising restaurants, outdoor catering services, and school catering.

We are looking to hire an experienced and versatile young man or woman to head our stores department’s operations. The main objective of the Head of Stores (HOS) will be to plan, manage, and control store activities to ensure efficient and economical utilisation of facilities for safe storage, reception and distribution of raw materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Head of Stores’ duties involves ensuring that optimum stock levels are maintained by implementing the Stores Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and overseeing the functions of all team members. The HOS will also ensure that stock balances are controlled, and requisitions made on time.

Other duties include,

  • Maintaining inventory levels at all times
  • Completing stores SOPs by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
  • Maintaining staff by assisting in recruiting, orienting and training employees
  • Maintaining staff job results by coaching, counselling and disciplining employees
  • Preparing annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Providing training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent
  • Managing all controllable costs to keep operations profitable
  • Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control
  • Analyzing sales figures and forecast future sales
  • Analyzing and interpreting trends to facilitate planning
  • Ensuring standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met
  • Keeping records of items received, or transferred to another location or business unit
  • Compile reports on various aspects of changes in production or inventory
  • Ensuring that goods received in the store have Bin cards for proper recording for issues and requests and are up to date.
  • Reporting on expired stock and any other adverse findings in the store to the Group Head of Procurement/General Manager.
  • Initiating purchase requisitions for the replacement of stock of all regular store items whenever the stock level of any item of store approaches the minimum level.
  • Issuing goods only in required quantities against authorized requisition.
  • Reconciliation of store items for the end-of-month report.
  • Ordering supplies based upon operational needs, arrange for equipment and supplies to be available for assignments.

Qualification Required & Experience

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields
  • 3 to 5 years working experience in storage management or similar field
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and warehouse management software
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Accountability
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

REMUNERATION

Qualified candidates will be paid a monthly salary range of GHS 3000 – GHS 4000, with SSNIT Contribution payment, hospital allowance and staff lunch.
