World Vision Ghana in partnership with Gold Fields Ghana Foundation is undertaking a water supply project in Damang to enhance access to potable water. The project involves the construction of a 100-cubic-meter concrete water tower, trenching, plumbing, and renovation of an existing water tower. To ensure the quality of work, proper materials usage, and adherence to timelines, a Clerk of Works will be engaged to provide on-site supervision and periodic reporting.
Purpose of the Engagement:
The Clerk of Works will act as the on-site representative of the Engineering Team (World Vision Ghana, GI-WASH) responsible for supervising the construction activities, ensuring quality control, inspecting materials, and reporting progress to support project success.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction supervision, with experience in water tower construction preferred.
- Proficiency in construction documentation and reporting.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards in construction.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
Duration of Engagement:
The engagement will span the project duration, estimated to be six months, with key milestones:
- Month 1: Mobilization, initial trenching, and plumbing setup.
- Month 3: Completion of structural works and start of renovation on the existing tower.
- Month 6: Final inspections, testing, and commissioning.
Duration is subject to extension based on project requirements.
Reporting Line: The Clerk of Works will report directly to the Water Supply and Construction Engineer/or his representative such as the Engineer Assistant and provide updates to other project stakeholders as needed.
Remuneration and Logistics:
- The Clerk of Works will receive a monthly salary and field per diem as agreed in the contract.
- World Vision Ghana will provide necessary tools, safety equipment, and logistical support, including transportation for site visits, to facilitate work.
