Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Manager to oversee the project from inception to completion.
Job Summary
The Construction Manager will be responsible for supervising all on-site construction activities, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and comprehensive knowledge of construction management principles.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules in collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Team Supervision and Management:
- Lead and supervise a team of subcontractors, construction workers, and site engineers.
- Ensure all team members adhere to safety regulations and construction standards.
- Conduct regular site meetings to review progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication among all parties.
Quality Control and Safety:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure high standards of construction.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any safety or quality issues.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and health and safety standards.
Budget Management:
- Manage project budgets, including tracking expenses, approving invoices, and reporting financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Client and Stakeholder Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular project updates.
- Liaise with local authorities, suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.

Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of managing residential projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations in Ghana.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in construction management or a related field.
- Experience with gated community or similar residential projects.
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, MS Project, or similar construction management software.
