Role Overview:
As a Backend Developer, you will play a key role in building and optimizing backend systems, primarily using Java J2EE and Struts 2 framework. You will also ensure smooth deployment processes using XL Release (XLR) and XL Deploy (XLD), contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of our platforms. Working in an international and collaborative environment, you will be instrumental in driving our success and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java J2EE and Struts 2 framework.
- Implement DevOps practices to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our applications.
- Manage deployment pipelines and processes using XL Release (XLR) and XL Deploy (XLD).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize code for performance and scalability.
- Document systems and processes to maintain clear communication and efficient team collaboration.
- Stay current with industry trends and integrate new technologies to improve our infrastructure.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java J2EE.
- Strong experience with the Struts 2 framework.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Proficiency in managing deployments with XL Release (XLR) and XL Deploy (XLD).
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and data structures.
- Experience with building and managing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Proficient with database technologies (SQL/NoSQL) and performance optimization techniques.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Languages: Fluent in English; French is a plus.
