HAT AgriTech Ltd. provides agricultural inputs and extension services to boost crop production and sales for smallholder and commercial farmers. We offer crop protection, mobile plant health clinics, app-based and in-person extension services, and support farmer-based organizations (FBOs) with training in climate-smart agriculture, postharvest management, biochar and composting production.

HAT is implementing a project aimed at transforming agricultural waste into valuable products in Ghana's Western, Greater Accra, and Northern Regions. Waste such as coconut shells, rice husks, groundnut shells and cocoa pods will be converted into biochar, wood vinegar and biochar-based fertilizers under this project.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to support our project team in Accra, Ghana. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, facilitating training, managing logistics, and ensuring seamless project implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate various trainings for youth, women, agric extension agents, and smallholder farmers
  • Keep accurate records of all trainings, including attendance, evaluations, and feedback
  • Manage training logistics, including venue selection, catering, and equipment rental
  • Coordinate with project team members, stakeholders, and partners to ensure project objectives are met
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager, including managing travels, meetings, and hotel bookings
  • Ensure compliance with project policies, procedures, and timelines
  • Develop and implement a social media strategy to promote project activities, achievements, and impact
  • Create engaging social media content (text, images, videos) for various platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Monitor and respond to social media comments and messages in a timely and professional manner
  • Any other duties assigned by the Project Manager

Qualification Required & Experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., agriculture, education, business administration, communications)
  • At least 2 years of work experience in project coordination, administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel regularly to Northern and Western Regions
  • Virtual assistant qualifications or experience is an added advantage
  • Good knowledge of social media platforms and content-creation tools
  • Ability to develop and implement a social media strategy
