The ESG Community Liaison Officer will be responsible for establishing Rainforest Builder's presence and operations in the communities for the development of Project Akwaaba. This includes overseeing community and stakeholder engagement process. A core part of the role will be working closely with the ESG team to engage communities and sign intercropping agreements with on-reserve users.
Critically, the Community Liaison Officer to drive ongoing community engagement, including negotiating social development agreements, and overseeing community relations.

Your Responsibilities
- Ensure all ESG SOPs fully implemented in their assigned location
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders are identified and mapped and engaged
- Hold monthly community update meetings with community reps
- Arrange and organize all ESG meetings
- Record all stakeholder complaints, and conduct investigation and support solutions in accordance with RB complaint SOP
- Support in setting up community representation committees and work with committees to implement ESG activities
- Ensure all stakeholders understand the project and agreements
- Ensure all communities understand the stakeholder engagement agreement and facilitate the signing and distribution of the agreement
- Lead implementation and monitoring of the benefit sharing agreement
- Lead implementation and monitoring of the leakage mitigation plan
- Engagement to protect the leased lands
- Ensure the identification, demarcation and monitoring of all HCV areas
- Implement and monitor the environmental impact management plan
- Any other assigned roles and responsibilities as required by the Company
Requirements
- At least two years of relevant experience
- Experience in land acquisition processes

- Strong knowledge and record of accomplishment in conflict management
- Excellent stakeholder mapping and management skills
- Highly organized and detailed-oriented but practical and adaptable approach to problem-solving
- Strongly independent, self-motivated, proactive and adaptable
- Educated to first-degree level in a relevant field
- Experience managing community relations in Ghana (experience in Western Regions is a plus)
- Experience with project management
- Fluency in English and Akan Languages
- Highlight in your cover letter if you have any experience with Verra VCS/ CCB Standard and/or any certification or ESG standard, Kobo Collect data collection App or similar data collection Software, and GIS
