As a leading global company operating in the production industry, we are looking for an IT Specialist to work in our organization located at the Free Zones Tema, Ghana.
Key Responsibilities
- Running regular checks on network and data security
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization.
- Designing training programs and workshops for staff
- Conducting regular system audits
- Undertake high-level planning and/or implementation of policies and programs relating to operating systems, storage and networks.
- Running and sharing regular operations system reports with senior staff
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
- Manage the allocation and monitoring of IT resources and prepare appropriate timely reports.
- Maintains all library computer technology, including the critical updates of associated hardware and software.
- Troubleshoots hardware, software, network and peripheral issues and provides replacement, repair, or cleaning, as needed.
- Performs the setup, configuration, and maintenance of technology peripherals such as printers, monitors, scanners, mice, and other equipment as necessary.
- Managing and reporting on the allocation of the IT budget
- Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
- Other duties related to the purpose of the job, as assigned.

Requirements and Skills
- BS in Computer Science, MIS or a similar field.
- At least 3-5 years of solid professional experience (A previous experience in Cement Factory is a plus.).
- CCNA or CCNP and experience in managing wired and wireless enterprise-grade network topologies and firewalls.
- Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with IT support and hardware maintenance.
- High level of professional standards and conduct.
- The ability to read and interpret safety data sheets.
- Understanding and experience with managing IT infrastructure including systems, personal computing, help desk, servers, and printers.
- Strong leadership and training abilities
- English and French oral and written proficiency is required.
- No travel restrictions
- Reside or able to reside in Tema, Ghana
