Job Details:
Responsible to: Project Manager
Responsible for (subordinates): Surveyors and Assistant Surveyors
Job Summary (Description of the main purpose of job):
The Chief Surveyor will oversee the surveying activities, manage surveying teams, and ensure the accuracy of data collected. Collaborate with the construction manager, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide essential surveying support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Tasks:
- Lead and manage surveying operations, including land and topographic surveys and construction layout surveys.
- Monitor controls coordinates through the project lifecycle.
- Establish plans resulting from survey activities.
- Develop and manage survey budgets and produce quantities for the commercial department.
- Supervise and mentor surveying teams. Advise team of daily activities and monitor.
- Overs the selection, maintenance, and deployment of surveying equipment. Ensure the equipment is working in line with project quality standards.
- Manage data collection processes and ensure accuracy of survey data.
- Produce survey as built plan.
- Reporting on all survey activities
Qualification Required & Experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Geomatic/Geodetic Engineering, Civil Engineering.
Essential Experience :
- +7 years’ experience working on high-value infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of the use of GPS and Total stations
- Experienced with the use of Software such as Autocad Civil 3D
