The E-commerce Manager will be expected to build an ecosystem of partners from various industries offering goods and services for sale on Telecel Play. The Manager would be responsible for creating a delightful experience for customers to shop online. This would require enabling seamless payment solutions on Telecel Play, presenting the App as a one-stop-shop for consumer’s daily lifestyle needs. The E-commerce Manager should be innovative in driving a strong online presence for partners by offering rewards and incentives to drive adoption and customer engagement.
Role Responsibilities
- Recruit new merchants/e-commerce partners and negotiate all the key commercial terms with them.
- Ensure timely onboarding of merchants/e-commerce partners on the Telecel Play app
- Liaison person for all e-commerce partnership issues
- Identify opportunities within Telecel and develop a road map to onboard existing partners on the App.
- Own and manage product ideation, development, execution and promotion.
- Develop innovative solutions to drive cashless payments.
- Identify gaps within the current merchant ecosystem and provide solutions for growth
- Access and continue to improve the experience on the App by ensuring UIs are user-friendly.
- Manage relationships and offer other value-added services to partners to retain them
- Ensure best practices are employed to promote growth.
- Ensure price offerings are benchmarked against local and international markets to maximise profit
- Develop, manage, and own a marketing plan to drive adoption.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, And Experience
- 3 years + of Management or Commercial experience in a customer-facing environment
- Keen understanding of business product development, Strong knowledge of mobile money and fintech services
- Experience with emerging market consumers
- Analytical mind, a structured thinker with strong business acumen
- Results-driven, self-starter
- Solid influencing and negotiation skills
- Have a solutions-driven mentality
Must-Have Technical / Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Passion for, and commitment to driving mobile money growth and innovation
