We are seeking a Technical Sales Support - Mill Lining professional to join our team of Engineers. You will be responsible for Technical Support on Metso’s installed Mill Lining.
The Technical Sales Support person will participate in onsite customer activities regarding Mill Lining performance monitoring and optimisation of the installed linings. This will include monitoring mill performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators and recommendations to improve the process efficiency with optimised mill lining design.
The Technical Sales Support person must also plan and execute liner installation supervision and lining inspections.
This position is mainly located in Ghana.
In this position, you will report to the Head of Technical Sales Support - CNS, West Africa Region.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as End Customers on Site Teams, including Engineering and Process Teams, Internal Market Area Colleagues – Market Area Sales, Mill Lining Technical Sales Support and Product Support, Mill Lining Order Management, Global Mill Lining Product Support Team.
What You'll Do
- Acting as the product expert in the Market Area, work with sales teams to build campaigns,develop and manage opportunity funnels, priorities and solutions
- Responsible for proposal preparation, negotiation and securing of orders/contracts within the Mining Industry, ensuring correct technical and commercial fit
- Ensure that preparation and submission of customer quotations and order handling are performed timeously and in accordance with Metso standard procedures
- Support internal and external customers with technical information (including training), facilitating the successful completion of assigned activities, responsibilities and service projects
- Collect customer and competitor information as per business and product group requirements
- Conduct periodic market share analysis, gather market intelligence and provide regular feedback on pricing
- Maintain and increase customer satisfaction, and develop new business opportunities
- Coordinate installed base and inventory levels within the region
- Prepare and submit accurate/timely technical reports (monthly, quarterly and annually)
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned
Who You Are
- Higher National Diploma/First Degree in Mining or Minerals Engineering, or related course.
- Minimum 5 years field experience with the related Metallic Mill Lining and Mill Lining products
- Minimum 5 years field experience with SAG AND BALL mill operation and process control
- Very high demand on technical product specialist knowledge
- High demand on process and application knowledge
- Good competency in Autodesk Inventor (preferred) or Solidworks software
- Experience in complex matrix relationships
- High understanding of and experience of support role
- Familiarity with the broad range of Metso’s Grinding Equipment
- A general understanding of core processes of end customers
