Job Purpose
To supervise and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all mechanical systems and installations on production plant equipment, to keep them in good working condition, prevent their failure and avert disruption of operations within the company’s policies and work procedures
Principal Accountabilities
- Planning and supervision of preventive maintenance on production plant equipment to minimize disruptions to production operations
- Planning and supervision of corrective maintenance activities and recommending modifications to maintenance programmes based on analysis to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of production plant equipment
- Adoption of modern technologies in the maintenance of plant equipment to improve overall plant performance and capacity
- Coordinating and supervising of maintenance activities to ensure the safety, reliability & efficient operation of plant equipment
- Preparation of required spare parts list to engineering & maintenance manager for action to initiate the procurement process and maintain a minimum stock of critical spare parts for production plant equipment
Qualification Required & Experience
- BSc Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of post-qualification industrial experience
- Knowledgeable in Mechanical Engineering and appreciable knowledge in Electrical Engineering
- Good knowledge of Pneumatics and hydraulic systems
- IT literate, analytical, people leadership and teambuilding skills
- Knowledgeable in quality, occupational health & safety and environmental ISO management systems
