Job Description
We are now at a point where we need reliable staff to come in and assist the Operations Manager in owning the processes to get the farm operational.
Responsibilities
- The Farm Management Trainee(s) will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day care and maintenance of our diverse farms, which includes but not limited to Snails, Catfish and Mushrooms production.
- These roles involve assisting in the cultivation of mushrooms and ensuring the well-being and growth of both snails and catfish, maintaining the farm's infrastructure, and supporting the overall operation of the farm.
- The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of both snail and catfish husbandry practices along with mushroom cultivation and be knowledgeable about their respective requirements and optimal conditions for growth or be willing to learn and grow with the business as a junior manager with prospects.

Required Skills or Experience
- Certificate or training from an Agric College or University is essential
- One (1) years working experience is ideal but not necessary
- Knowledge of modern farming methods would be an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of snail, catfish and mushroom production will be advantageous but not necessary as training will be provided.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, such as weeding, lifting, carrying, and cleaning is essential.
- Attention to detail and the ability to observe and monitor the behaviour and health indicators of both snails and catfish is essential.
- Basic record-keeping and organisational skills is essential
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with other farm staff is essential.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing farm conditions/ demands and willingness to work some long hours, outdoors and in fish ponds during harvests is essential.
Location/ Accommodation
- The farm is located in Big Ada in the Greater Accra Region. Successful applicants must be willing to relocate to Ada. Shared accommodation will be provided along with one meal a day.
Salary
- Negotiable based on experience
