Take ownership of the safety and support of our equipment
As Quality Control inspector you will be Reporting to the Site Quality Lead, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for receipt inspection, in-process inspection and final release inspection activities and for creating and maintaining records of such activities in accordance with documented requirements. The Quality Control Inspector performs witness and verification of equipment undergoing acceptance testing and reviews the results of such tests for compliance with requirements.
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining product standards through the application of rigorous inspection techniques.
- Inspecting new manufacture supplier provided parts, supplier repaired / refurbished parts and intra-company supplied parts, including supporting documentation to verify compliance with specified technical requirements referenced within relevant drawings, specifications and standards.
- Inspecting components, sub-assemblies, assemblies and associated documentation to confirm compliance with Baker Hughes specifications and standards.
- Performing inspection activities at supplier premises, or other off-site locations, when required
- Creating and maintaining accurate records of inspection activities.
- Using, controlling and caring for inspection metrology equipment and ensuring the valid calibration status of such items.
- Systematic follow-up of Assembly and Refurbishment activities utilizing ITPs and other documentation for proper control.
- Identifying, controlling and reporting, via the Non-Conformance Management (NCM), non-conforming product.
- Identifying and driving continuous improvement opportunities
- Participates in root cause analysis, non-conformance analysis, customer issue resolution analysis and other continuous improvement activities aimed at reducing cost of quality, improving on time delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Adherence to and compliance with company and regulatory Quality management system requirements at all times.
- Adherence to and compliance with company and regulatory HSE requirements & expectations always
- Carrying out any other assigned jobs as required.

To be successful in this role you will:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Have at least 3 years minimum experience in a similar quality role within the oil and gas industry.
- Detailed knowledge of inspection and metrology techniques and processes
- Have thorough understanding of manufacturing drawings, geometric and dimensional tolerances and specifications.
- Have knowledge of and familiarity with relevant company and industry standards
- Have a detailed knowledge of requirements associated with the control of monitoring and measuring devices.
- Has an engineering background, such as time-served mechanical or electrical technician
- Familiar with industry standards such as API, NORSOK etc.
- Able to generate concise and detailed reports of inspection findings.
- Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Experienced and familiar with the requirements of formal Quality Management Systems and standards, such as ISO 9001:2015, API Q1 and API Q2.
- Have product knowledge on sub-sea equipment to be able to maximize performance.
- Be an experienced problem solver, with a methodical approach to solving complex customer issues.
- Have the ability to read and interpret routine instructions.
- Have good IT and technical skills and the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Have an awareness of HSE requirements and be able to follow all safety policies and procedures.
