We are looking for an IT Operations Specialist, who will be responsible for the Operations applications maintenance and support for the Africa Region. The position will be focused on SAP MTD (PP, PM, QM & WM) playing a key role in the provision of end-user support with new tools, contributing to drive our Operations landscape into the future. The role holder will report to the IT Operations Consultant, Africa.

Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with IT consultants and external partners to manage and support new developments and enhancements. You’ll lead the entire process, including testing, end-user training, and documentation updates.
- Engage in defining business requirements and conduct gap analyses between operational needs and SAP MTD (PP, PM, QM & WM) standard functionalities, ensuring our systems meet the highest standards.
- Analyze the impacts of requested changes or new projects on current Operations and Manufacturing systems, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.
- Act as the first point of contact for escalations in applications, IT, and business process issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Work closely with global and local Operations process owners to design and implement future-oriented processes. Your input will shape the way we operate.
- Provide guidance and information to business partners on system capabilities, offering solutions to enhance current Operations processes.
- Understand processes across the organization to efficiently coordinate IT applications and business processes that drive our daily operations.
- Ensure alignment with corporate teams to implement corporate processes correctly within the Business Units, fostering consistency and efficiency.
- Assist the support team in assessing the impact, urgency, and criticality of incidents and improvement requests reported by the business, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Provide periodic training to end-users in the Operations Area, empowering them with the knowledge and skills to utilize our systems effectively.
Requirements:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Business, providing a solid foundation for your technical and business acumen.
- Demonstrate extensive experience in SAP (H4HANA/ ECC) MTD and PTP areas, including MM, PP, QM, PM & WM, to support and enhance our systems effectively.
- Possess deep knowledge of both Operations/Manufacturing business processes and functional IT Operations Management tools, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.
- Experience in the FMCG industry is preferable, bringing valuable insights and understanding to our fast-paced environment.
- Have a strong background in project management, capable of leading projects from inception to completion with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain a solution-oriented mentality with a high affinity for new technologies and automation standardization, always looking for ways to improve and innovate.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders from various backgrounds, including Operations and IT, to foster clear and productive interactions.
- Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of French is highly valued, enhancing communication within our global team.
- Demonstrates excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, crucial for navigating complex situations and delivering effective solutions.
- Knowledge in process and cloud integration, staying ahead of technological advancements and contributing to innovative solutions.
