The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory body established by the NRA Act, 2015 (Act 895) and began operations in January 2016. The NRA has a statutory responsibility for regulating civilian use of nuclear and other radioactive materials and is preparing itself to regulate Ghana’s nuclear power programme.
Job Description
The NRA is seeking to recruit to fill various positions in its organisational structure. The NRA hereby invites qualified Ghanaians to apply for any of the positions listed below.
A Management Systems Specialist for a nuclear regulatory body is responsible for facilitating the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Authority’s management systems, and for conducting reviews, audits, etc. of the management systems of nuclear facility licensees.
Key required tasks are:
- Be part of the Management System Team at the Authority that is responsible for developing and implementing (including policies, processes, procedures, work instructions, and forms) the integrated management systems based on ISO standards and IAEA GSR Part Conduct reviews and audits of integrated management systems of licensee to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements and international management system standards.
- Ensure continuous improvement of the Management System of the Authority and also ensure that operation feedback and safety and security culture are fully integrated in the work of the Authority and licensees it oversees.

Required Skills or Experience
Minimum Education
- Master's degree in any science-related field with experience in management system development and implementation.
Certifications & Knowledge
- Good understanding of nuclear regulations, management systems and quality assurance standards such as ISO 9001, ASME NQA1, etc.
Experience
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in integrated management system development. Nuclear knowledge would be an advantage.
