Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital is seeking to recruit a Deputy Director, Supply Chain Management.
Job Purpose
Provide direction and advice in the timely procurement, storage and distribution of drug, equipment, other medical consumables, civil works, etc for KATH
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead in the planning, procurement and distribution of drugs, equipment and medical supplies
- Lead in the procurement of civil works and services in accordance with the provisions of the public procurement act, 2003 (Act 663) as amended
- Ensure the procurement of items using GHANEPS
- Ensure the safe custody of drugs, equipment and medical supplies
- Lead in the development and maintenance of effective distribution systems for the hospital
- Contribute to policy development, analysis and review for KATH
- Lead in the development of systems for monitoring and evaluation of supply chain management practices across the hospital
- Facilitate the development and maintenance of a central database on all supplies and distributions
- To promote the sustenance, timely and effective application of GIFMIS and GhiLMIS in the supply chain operations of the hospital
- Contribute to the implementation and evaluation of national health policies
- Contribute to the development of medium/long-term plans of KATH
- Prepare annual reports and other reports on procurement and stores required by the management
- Provide direction and guidelines in the disposal of obsolete/expired equipment and other commodities

Qualification Required & Experience
- At least a postgraduate qualification in procurement and supply chain management or a related field (master's or equivalent)
- Member of a relevant and recognized professional body (in good standing)
- A minimum of 10 years of working experience with at least 5 years at the senior management level
- A broad knowledge base and experience in health sector procurement and supply chain management
- Broad knowledge of the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (Act 663) as amended
- Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in supply chain management
