A reputable civil society organization based in Accra with branches in all regions and selected districts in Ghana is looking for experienced and motivated health professionals to implement a new project focusing on improving maternal and child health outcomes in six regions of Ghana (North East, Northern, Savannah, Upper East, Upper West and Western Regions): Communication & IT Officer
Job Summary
The Communication and IT Officer shall provide strategic communication support to the project. This shall involve the development and implementation of the project's communication strategy and the management of its IT infrastructure. The role will ensure that project communications are effective, targeted and credible and that IT systems are robust secure
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans that effectively disseminate project outcomes and activities to stakeholders
- Produce high-quality content for various communication channels, including newsletters, reports, social media and websites
- Ensure access to information by the media, public and government agencies on request
- Provide IT support to staff, ensuring that all systems are operational and efficient
- Assess system performance and make recommendations for software, hardware and data storage improvements
- Ensure the security of project data and adherence to data protection policies
- Update and manage the project website and digital platforms to ensure content is current and engaging
- Lead the development of a branding guideline for the project

Qualification Required & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in communication and IT roles, preferably within a health or NGO setting
Skills
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and content management systems
- Strong IT management skills, including network, data security and social media management
- Familiarity with social media
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
