Job Description
- Reports to: Finance Manager
- Department: Finance
- Duration: Six (6) months
- Work Location: Akuse, Eastern Region
Position Summary
We are looking for a motivated Finance and Accounts Intern to support our finance team with day-to-day operations, including maintaining financial records, processing invoices, preparing reports, and supporting various financial projects. The role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in accounting, financial analysis, and the unique challenges of the manufacturing and agribusiness sector.

The intern will be based in Akuse in the Eastern Region.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop, update and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate financial records in accounting software and Excel.
- Support the preparation of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Support in stock taking of WIP and finished goods.
- Help with reconciliation of accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Work closely with the finance team to track production costs and inventory accounting for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budget forecasts.
- Support in payroll preparation and processing for factory hands including helping to record employee attendance and wages.
- Learn and assist with financial data collection for continuous process improvement.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualification and Experience
- Recently graduated with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Prior internship or experience in manufacturing, agribusiness, or related industries is advantageous.
- Understanding of inventory management and cost accounting in a production.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
