Job Description
The School is seeking to appoint a female Physical Education Assistant and Swim Instructor. The Physical Education Assistant and Swim Instructor will work under the direction of the PE Teacher and the Aquatics Coordinator to plan, teach, and assess student learning in a collaborative and respectful environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all rooms and open-air spaces for sports activities are correctly set up to meet the requirements of the physical education class.
- Encourage good behavior and sportsmanship among students during the physical education class.
- To assist and support student learning and class engagement in classes.
- To assist the Teacher in the planning and organization of all class activities.
- Help prepare swimming schedules for the overall swimming pool and organization of classes.
- Teach swimming under the guidance of the Aquatics Coordinator.
- Adapt teaching approaches to the experience, ability and culture of all students to achieve course objectives.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
- Degree in any field
Experience, Skills and Attributes
- Minimum of 2 years working with children from 3 to 16 years preferably in a school setting.
- Minimum of 2 years experience teaching and or supporting sports activities including swimming.
- Thorough swimming instructor/teacher knowledge and experience from American Red Cross, Austswim, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of how to implement an optimal swimming program
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proven interest in inquiry-based instruction.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Proficient IT skills to be tested.
- Female gender preferred
