Job Description

Summary

We are looking for qualified Montessori Teachers for Grades 1-10 who are dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching learning environment. The ideal candidates will have a strong Montessori background, a deep understanding of child development, and the ability to create engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences. Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery

  • Plan and implement Montessori-based lessons and activities that cater to the individual needs of students in Grades 1-10.
  • Use Montessori materials and techniques to foster self-directed learning and encourage exploration and discovery.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing guidance and support to ensure academic and personal growth.

Classroom Management

  • Create a calm, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages independence, respect, and a love for learning.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports the social and emotional development of all students.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to education.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in school meetings, events, and professional development opportunities to contribute to the overall success of the school.

Student Development

  •  Support the holistic development of students, including their academic, social, emotional, and physical growth.
  •  Encourage students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative skills.
  •  Foster a sense of curiosity, confidence, and responsibility in students.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field/minimum of a SHS certificate. 
  • Montessori certification from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a Montessori school or environment.
  • Experience working with students in Grades 1-10 is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English Language and Twi.
  • Strong understanding of Montessori principles and child development.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Applicants must leave Asuom and its surroundings or be willing to relocate to Asuom.
