Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership, technical and administrative direction for the achievement of the mandate of the commission
Duties and Responsibilities
- Initiate the formulation and implementation of policies of the commission
- Ensure effective coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the commission's programmes
- Advise the commission on all matters relating to law reform
- Exercise oversight responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the resources (Human, material and financial) of the Commission
- Represent the commission at local and international levels on matters relating to law reform
- Collaborate and build relationships with government and other stakeholders
- Submit the annual and other periodic reports on the commission's activities
- Submit the annual budget to the commission for approval
- Ensure the implementation of performance management policy of the commission
- Serve as secretary to the Commission

Qualification Required & Experience
- Must have been called to the Ghana Bar
- A minimum of 12 years standing at the Bar
- A Master's Degree in a relevant field
Competencies and Skills
- Experience in research work in laws
- Ability to write reports on the development of laws
- Extensive knowledge of the law
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Extensive leadership, networking, monitoring and management skills
- Knowledge of relevant financial and labour laws and regulations
- Conflict management skills
- Excellent ICT skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Integrity, diplomacy and negotiation
