To develop and implement Employee Relations strategies and provide guidance, support, and expert advice to the business on Employee Relations issues.

Are You Someone Who Can

  • Develop Employee Relations strategies and ensure effective implementation thereof.
  • Draft, review and update policies in line with legislative and operational changes.
  • Ensure consistent application of industrial relations policies and procedures throughout the Bank.
  • Ensure that disciplinary and grievance hearings are conducted in accordance with the Bank’s procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on disciplinary and grievance hearings and ensure that procedural and substantive fairness is complied with.
  • Constantly monitor the industrial relations climate internally and externally and recommend best practice initiatives and actions.
  • Participate in disciplinary and grievance hearings and ensure that procedural and substantive fairness is complied with.
  • Identify employee relations’ learning needs for the different levels of employees and ensure implementation of development interventions to develop.

  • Initiate and implement dispute resolution mechanisms, investigate Industrial Relations issues and provide guidance and recommendations for resolutions.
  • Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Maintain expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provide advice to relevant stakeholders.
  • Minimise lawsuits against the Bank and ensure that cases are successfully settled.

You Will Be An Ideal Candidate If You Have

  • First Degree in Human Resources or Labour Relations
  • 3-5 years related work experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
