A premier garment manufacturer in Ghana is currently looking for a seasoned and dedicated Logistics and Procurement Officer to join our vibrant team.
Job Summary
The Logistics and Procurement Officer will ensure procurement of goods or services is carried out in a timely manner, procurement records are properly maintained and updated, and periodic reports are prepared and submitted promptly. Ensure procurement and supply chain management. Implementing an effective inventory management system is a key responsibility to ensure smooth work.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives and checks deliveries to ensure that the correct amounts and types of stock are delivered.
- Ensuring that raw materials, replacement parts, auxiliary supplies, operating supplies and other items needed for manufacturing processes and all other work processes are available and provided on time.
- Performs stock-taking.

- Ensures daily inventory management.
- Conducts Supplier Evaluation.
- In charge of Warehouses/Storeroom Management.
- Signs delivery notes upon receipt of shipments.
- Follows through with notes regarding appropriate procedures for handling stock, particularly when fragile.
- Unpacks and arranges items on shelves, as needed.
- Prepares client's orders by gathering and loading stock.
- Ensures that the facility remains clean, sanitary, and well-organized.
- Reports damages to the appropriate Officer.
- Attends Pre-production meetings
- Prepares Daily, weekly, Monthly and yearly reports.
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experiences, Skills and Abilities
- A good first degree in Logistics/Procurement Management or related fields. A first degree in any of the above will be an advantage.
- 3-5 years’ relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of modern trends in Logistics Management.
- Ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
