The Stock Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels of medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, equipment, and other materials within the hospital.
This role ensures that the hospital operates efficiently by preventing stockouts and overstock situations, thereby improving cash flow and supporting the smooth delivery of patient care. This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using hospital inventory management software
- Responsible for demand planning and material replenishment for all consumables. i.e. Diagnostics, Medical consumables and non-medical consumables.
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical counts to reconcile inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Manages the Store officers.

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in inventory management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proven experience as a storekeeper, inventory clerk, or similar role, preferably in a healthcare or pharmaceutical setting.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles, stock control procedures, and regulatory requirements for handling pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
- Familiarity with electronic inventory management systems, barcode scanning technology, and computerized record-keeping software.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
