Main Purpose:

  • Responsible for provision of full human resources service to all Puma entities in the country
  • Assist the Global HR team, supporting the development of a robust framework for scalable expansion and integration of Puma entities.
  • Ensuring smooth tactical deployment of Global policies & processes, with input in design thereof (e.g. Talent Management &/or
  • Performance Management &/or Recruitment, Benefits initiatives)
  • Partnering with local GM and providing technical HR expertise to local HR to promote on-going knowledge and skill development, and global team spirit.
  • Consolidation of in country HR data and performance metrics for measuring effectiveness of HR initiatives and function in driving organisational performance and containing costs across region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take hands on approach in the development and improvement of HR in new and existing countries.
  • Plans, develops and coordinates HR initiatives in support of business goals as instructed by GM.
  • Adapts global HR initiatives as necessary to local organisation needs within defined boundaries, and assists local management in implementing by effectively communicating on goals and implications.
  • Provides strategic business partner (part of local leadership team), and field employee/labour relations support to local businesses in region.
  • Drive strategic people initiatives and programs through the organisation and mobilise the management team to excel in the successful execution of people strategy.
  • Interprets and communicates business needs, and identifies or assists in crafting appropriate solutions to meet needs, within framework of Puma global HR initiatives.
  • Promote harmonious and business-effective relations with the Trade Unions and employees generally.
  • Provides defined metrics for measuring the effectiveness of HR programs in driving organisational performance and containing costs.
  • Effectively Liaises with other Puma HR teams to minimise any duplication of efforts and maximise alignment and mutual support.

Requirements:

Mandatory Education:

  • University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related areas.

Experience:

  • Min 5-10 years’ of human resources management, with increasing levels of experience in a medium to large multinational, preferably in multi-cultural environments.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources related programs, processes, tools, policies and guidelines and their application to complex organizational issues.
  • Knowledge of organisational concepts, including: team management, organisational design, resource utilization and workforce planning.
  • Proven experience in dealing with HR matters related to acquisitions and its derived components for the HR function (e.g. experience in due diligence, restructuring, among others).

  • Fluent English

  • Comply and support the Quality Management system in all aspects of your role.

  • Minimize waste; separate reusable and recyclable materials from the general waste stream, use bins provided.
  • Clean up spills appropriately and notify your Supervisor.
