Key Responsibilities / Duties
- • Overseeing the construction, maintenance, renovation, repairs and upkeep of buildings and facilitates
- • Managing the organization's physical assets, landed properties, including acquisition and disposal
- • Keeping an inventory of fixed assets including landed properties of the association and those rented by the organisation from third parties
- • Teaming up with the Head of Finance & Investment, Assistant Head of Assets, Estates and Procurement to give technical advice to the General Secretary in respect of negotiations and administering, rented or leased
- • Overseeing all estate-related projects of the organisation
- • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with property ownership
- • Managing budgets and financial planning for estate-related expenses
- • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
- • Coordinating the activities of consultants, contractors and service providers associated with assets
- • Implementing initiatives to reduce the organisation's environmental footprint
- • Performing any other duty relevant to the job
Qualification Required & Experience
- • Bachelor’s Degree in Building and Construction, Building Technology, Land Economy, Estate management, Quantity surveying or building technology or related field
- • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a real estate industry or construction company
- • Must not be less than 35 years and not more than 45 years

Skills & Competencies
- • Ability to work with little or no supervision
- • Ability to interpret and understand contract terms, Bills of quantities and architectural drawings
- • Strong knowledge of property laws, regulations and industry standards
- • Excellent communication, negotiation and management skills
- • Ability to analyse market trends and make informed decisions
- • Proficiency in computer applications
- • A professional teacher and a member in good standing will be an added advantage
- • Members with the Ghana Education Service who possess the above experience and qualification who are on the rank of Principal Superintendent for at least 3 years can apply
- • In-Service staff (Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff) who possess the above qualification and experience should also have at least 3 years of working experience within the organisation in addition to the above qualification to apply
