Job Summary
They shall be in charge of the commercial activities of the Council at the corporate level and be responsible to the Director-General.
Duties
- Be responsible to the Director-General and Council for the commercialisation functions of the CSIR
- Oversee all operations of Commercialisation Divisions (CDs) implementation
- Supervise the activities of Marketing Officers/Public Relations Officers
- Provide direction on pricing and costing policy, advertising, promotion and market research within the CSIR
- Supervise and train all Marketing Officers
- Undertake market research information, corporate image building, vibility and science and technology (S&T) popularisation
- Co-ordinate preparation of commercialisation reports for the Governing Council of the organisation
Qualification Required & Experience
The applicant should have the following qualifications and attributes
- MBA/MSc or other relevant Master’s Degree with Marketing as the principal subject
- Principal Marketing Officer in a Research Institution, University or an analogous institution with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience OR
