The West African Examinations Council, a sub-regional organization responsible for conducting various examinations in English-speaking West African countries invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the under-mentioned vacant positions in its Ghana National Office.
SENIOR STORES OFFICER II
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be required to perform the following duties among others:
- Conduct physical count to verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing products at the store
- Maintain online inventory management software and ensure timely identification of triggers to initiate actions for stock replenishment
- Post details of receipt and dispatch transactions and ensure the integrity of the inventory management system
- Maintain up-to-date records of material inventory at the stores (existing stocks, pending orders etc)
- Provide information on current stock and order to justify reordering
- Monitor trends of product receipt and dispatch at the store to provide the basis for demand forecasting
- Conduct periodic inventory stock counting inventory accuracy check
- Perform end-of-the-day inventory reconciliation, identify discrepancies, and resolve in time
- Notify the head store of irregularities in inventory records and support in reconciliation /resolving
- Develop periodic reports of store operations and performances as required
- Maintain electronic inventory management database

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification and Experience
Applicant must:
- Possess a minimum of a First Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain
- Have at least six (6) years of relevant working experience in store management
General Requirements for All Positions
- Be a person with high integrity, confidentiality, and reliability.
- Be self-motivated and able to write good reports.
- Be able to work extra hours with little or no supervision.
- Be a team player with good interpersonal skills and be open and able to lead change.
- Be able to implement good ideas successfully.
- Be proficient in using personal computers, and MS Office Software packages and know about web-based systems.
All applicants must possess a minimum of SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE/GCE “O” Level Examination Certificate or their equivalents with credits in five subjects including English Language and Mathematics, at ONE (1) sitting, or SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE/GCE “O” Level Examination Certificate with credits in six subjects, including English Language and mathematics, at not more than TWO sittings.
