The Mining Department of Tarkwa Gold Mine seeks to employ an experienced and self-motivated individual for the position of Maintenance Dispatcher. The successful applicant will apply acknowledgement and experience to capture maintenance and repair data within prescribe guidelines with the view to monitoring and coordinating heavy Mining Equipment (HME) maintenance/engineering systems, processes, and resources to enhance output efficiency for high equipment availability and performance, increased productivity, equipment reliability and operational profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Controlling the load and haul auxiliary equipment such as dozers, grades, water carts, etc. and of all the civil fleet employed within the mining maintenance unit.
- Liasing with the civil fleet personnel providing information related to RAC events, including the location of the event, in order that bad road conditions resulting in these events are repaired as soon as possible.
- Assist in providing regular coaching, training and development to staff within the section on relevant best-fit practices based on experience, knowledge or expertise.
- Monitoring all auxiliary equipment fitted with Dispatch equipment to ensure its efficient performance.
- Liaising with HME and MARCs and relaying real time incoming events to responsible sections.
- Responsible for always reporting any unsafe act or situation to supervisor (s) and perform any other related operational duty after adequate training

Key Requirements
- Minimum of National Vocational Training Certificate or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience in Caterpillar equipment auto electrical maintenance.
- Technically competent in Risk Management.
- Must have good knowledge of engineering.
- Must have good knowledge of Auto Electricals.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and levels.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and must be willing and able to acquire site driver permit
