Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
SEND Ghana is seeking to recruit a Deputy Country Director
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all SEND Ghana programs and projects
- Support the Country Director in overall organisational management
- Develop and review proposals to secure funding for programmes and projects
- Supervise programme staff and ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
- Oversee programme monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance
- Manage donor relations and ensure compliance with donor guidelines
- Coordinate research and advocacy activities
- Provide mentorship and coaching to programme staff
- Represent SEND Ghana during advocacy events and conferences
- Foster strong partnerships with local organisations, communities and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to SEND Ghana policies and procedures, including financial management, human resources and safeguarding
Qualification Required & Experience
- Minimum master’s degree in the Humanities, social sciences, Economics or Business
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in program management and development work in Africa
- Proven experience in leading and motivating teams
- Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation methodologies
- Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills
- Experience in proposal development and donor relations
- Fluency in English and a strong understanding of the Ghanaian context
- Commitment to SEND Ghana’s mission and values
- Gender research experience and skills are important assets
- Strong research background and advocacy experience are required
