Job Description
- Location: Bolgatanga (Mine Site)
- Unit: Warehouse and Inventory
- Department: Supply Chain Management
- Job reports to: Supply Chain Superintendent

Job Purpose
The incumbent will oversee all warehouse and inventory activities, including delivery and receiving of inbound stock and non-stock items (foreign and local), and ensuring their proper storage and internal distribution.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Inventory Management and Control
- Provide strong tactical Inventory Management oversight for the Mine.
- Ensure various inventory counts; order supplies and goods as needed when the stock level for items is too low.
- Ensure timely receipts, binning, issuance of spares and Inventory integrity.
- Manage stock counts and resolve any stock discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures concerning receiving, storage and issuing activities.
Warehouse Operations Management
- Hold regular toolbox meetings and ensure strict enforcement of and adherence to company Health Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and codes of practice.
- Manage all Warehouse operations, including receiving, material numbering, stacking, storage and issuing of stock both online and offline.
- Establish optimal delivery points to end-users through efficient channels of distribution.
- Oversee that receiving functions and discrepancy identification are performed at all warehouse facilities and that transactions are addressed and resolved promptly.
- Establish, implement and monitor a parts preservation program that suitably protects inventory items from deterioration due to inadequate storage and exposure to the elements of the weather.
- Approve write-offs emanating from cycle counts (within his financial limit).
- Assist in identifying training and knowledge gaps within the Warehouse section and contribute to the development of suitable training interventions.
- Perform any other related duties and/or assist other sections of the department based on the exigencies of the company as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Skills or Experience
Minimum qualification (s)
- Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Procurement/Supply Chain Management/Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant discipline.
- Qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply or equivalent professional institution (desirable).
Experience (Minimum)
- Seven (7) years of working experience in procurement/supply chain function or similar position in a mining industry or similar environment.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Inventory Management and warehouse operation in the mining environment.

- Good Computer Skills in related packages.
- Must be conversant with the Procurement Act and related regulations of the Republic of Ghana and internationally recognized warehouse/inventor standards.
- Thorough understanding of supply chain practices and procedures.
- Strong working knowledge of any well-recognized ERP software. SAP is an advantage.
