The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding, Ghana (WANEP-Ghana) is a non-profit making peacebuilding Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). It is a civil society institution meant to prevent, resolve, and transform violent conflicts through collective and coordinated efforts of NGOs, local and national state institutions as well as individuals actively engaged in peacebuilding practice in Ghana to avoid the duplication of efforts and maximize resources for more effective responses to conflict situations.
The organization seeks to facilitate the creation of a sustainable culture of non-violence, justice, peace and social reconciliation in Ghanaian communities.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The responsibilities of the position are,
- Review Travel and Activity requests in line with approved budgets
- Prepare statutory payments
- Facilitate prompt payment of bills
- Review, record, and file cash transactions.
- Invoice processing and filing.
- Processing expense requests for the attention of the Grants and Finance Manager
- Prepare Monthly Bank reconciliations.
- Liaise with third-party providers, clients and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective
- delivery of goods Services
- Update and maintain procedural documentation
- Participate in preparation for annual financial audit
- Any other duty as may be assigned

Required Skills or Experience
Required minimum qualifications & experience:
- Possess a first degree in Accounting
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience in NGO work in Ghana
- Excellent presentation, writing and reporting skills
- Competent in the use of Tally and or QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Required Qualities
- Experience working with non-governmental organizations
- Must be a strong team player
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Possess good interpersonal, Communication, and organizational skills
- Possess initiative and ability to adapt and cope with pressure
- Willing to work outside normal hours
- Display organizational awareness and commitment
- Ambitious, open to criticism, and willing to learn
- Be culturally sensitive
